Supplies: jam jars/baby food jar, clunky gold glitter, glue, glycerin, miniature sisal craft trees. 

Directions:

1) Clean out your food jars and remove all stickers

2) Glue your trees to the cap of the jar. Be sure to see if they fit the bottle when it is screwed on. If not, trim the trees down. 

3) Free hand your guests' name on the bottle, or stencil it by printing out their name and trace it. 

3) Put a tspn of chunky gold glitter, fill the jar with water, put 5-7 drops of glycerin. 

4. Screw on the cap 

Whether this seating chart is hanging from a tree or hanging from tree, the shape and the colors will automatically create a romantic aesthetic as it flutters in the wind. 

Materials: Ruler, watercolor, x-acto knife, ribbon, copper pipe, string, hot glue gun

Directions:

1) Create your own stencil and cut out shapes of pentagon. 

2) Choose whichever color you like from the color palette and create an ombre. For this instance, I chose blue. I colored a ratio of them dark blue and faded the colors until it became white. 

3) Once the pentagons are slightly dried, pile it together and place it in between two heavy objects-I used two giant text books. This allows the paper to flatten out and uncurl. 

4) Lay out your pentagon like how you would hang them, creating the ombre effect. Once ordered, write calligraphy alphabetically from top to bottom. Make sure you calculate the amount of guests you want in one column to avoid short columns in the end. You can also stagger the ribbons, making some columns shorter than others. 

5) Create a slit on the top and bottom of the pentagon. 

6) Now it's time to hang them up. Starting with the bottom of the column, insert the ribbon through the first slit and pull it out on the top. Continue to weave until you reach the top.

7) Put a string through your copper pipe and make a knot at the top. 

8) After weaving your pentagons, you will have left over ribbon on the top. If not, slide your pentagons further down the ribbon. Using the left over space, loop it around the copper and overlap the ribbon in the front and hot glue gun the front and back together. 

9) Continue to do this for the rest of the column. 

You can make more than one of these seating charts, sectioning guests from A-L, M-Q, R-Z. They would look like wind chimers when they're hung. 

These days, being chic is expensive. A trend that is making a huge comeback is MARBLE. Marble notebooks, marble laptop cases, marble iPhone cases, marble tables, marble, marble, marble, the list goes on. Many brides want to incorporate marble into their wedding but marble can get pricey. As a solution, I created a mock-marble place card out of clay. Let's get started!

Materials: Clay (White and Gravel Gray), parchment paper, rolling pin, knife, Clear Sealer, and gold liquid guilding (optional)

Directions

1) Purchase White Clay and Gravel Gray Clay, use 1:1 ratios. 

2) Warm up the clay by molding each individual clay into a thick noodle. 

3) By now you should two separate noodles. Twist the gray and the white clay together, creating one large noodle. Fold it in half and keep twisting the clay. Repeat this process 3-4 more times. 

4) Place the combined clay in between two pieces of parchment paper. Start rolling in every direction until it become a thin piece of clay (about 1/8 inch thick). 

5) Preheat your oven to 250 degrees F. While you wait for the oven to preheat, cut your clay into 2" by 3" rectangles.  

6) Place your cut out place cards on a tray, lined with parchment paper. 

7) When your oven is preheated, "cook" your place cards for 30 minutes. If your rectangles are a little on the thicker side, feel free to leave it in a little longer. When ready, take out your place cards and let them cool. It may seem a little floppy, but when it cools down, it will harden. 

8) When the clay cools down, I took the extra step to rim the place cards with gold liquid guilding, because gold matches so well with the marble! 

9) Add your guests' names on them. Once ink is dried, spray everything with a clear sealer so it is all set in place.

His name is Charlie and he has been unwanted for 2+ years. He does not have the friendliest eyes and his clothes (tissue paper) isn't the most stylish. I am here to help Charlie. I was so in love with this idea by OhHappyDay that I decided to recreate it. 

Materials you will need: 

Iridescent tissue paper

Multi-color tissue paper (choose complimenting colors)

Scissors

X-acto knife

White Spray paint

Hot glue gun

White card stock

Eyes Template (click on the link above to download the template) 

Directions

1. Tear all the tissue paper from the old pinata, make sure it is smooth and paperless. 

2. Spray paint the pinata white. 

3. Cut strips of iridescent tissue paper into 1.5 inch strips, pile them together and create fringes, leaving space on the top. 

4. Hot glue the iridescent fringe starting from the bottom to the top until the pinata is all covered. 

5. For the mane, cut 3" by 11" piece of the card stock. Fold the card stock in half, and then fold each side in half again. Measure it along the pinata's neck and cut off any excess card stock.

6. Mane: Using 1/4 page of tissue paper in each color, create fringe with an x-acto knife, leave space at the top. Glue together the middle crease of the card stock then glue the fringed tissue paper to the outside of the card stock, either side is fine. 

7. Glue the mane to the neck of the pinata. Cover the cardstock with remaining pieces of the iridescent tissue paper fringe. 

8. For the tail, cut 2.5" by 11" piece of the card stock. Fold the card stock in half and then fold each side in half again. Cut the strip into 1" pieces. 

9. Glue the fringed tissue paper to each piece of card stock, Layer each piece starting with the color you want on top first. Glue the tail to the back of the pinata. 

10. Using the eyes template, cut it out and glue onto the pinata. 

11. Create a cone out of card stock, wrap it in metallic tissue paper and glue it on the head of the pinata. 

I'm not going to lie, this project was tedious, but I had so much fun recreating it. The end result was definitely worth all the burns from the hot glue gun :)

I know I know the guilded animal escort card has been done before but I thought I'd give a new look by using copper spray paint. 

Materials: plastic animals, copper spray paint, knife, and lighter

1. Spray the plastic animals with one coat of copper spray paing

2. Heat of the knife for 30 seconds. Slice 1/4 inch through the animal. 

3. Slip in your escort cards. The cards were printed from the computer.

Chalkboards are a great way to make announcements and save paper at events. Instead of printing out programs or menus for each guest, guests can just glance at the big sign. Calligraphy is trendy and it is still going strong in the wedding industry. Brides often want their signs, table numbers, and/or seating charts written in nice hand writings. As much as I love calligraphy, I can't do it. For the DIY brides out there with bad handwritings, here's a trick you can use to create beautiful signs. 

1) choose a font, and/or illustration you like and copy it on word or adobe illustrator. 

2) print it out. 

3) put your paper underneath a clear glass and trace. I purchased this frame from a goodwill store to save money. 

4) Trace with a chalk marker and voila~ you have your sign with calligraphy. 

This project is for a 8.5x11" paper. If you have a bigger frame, you can go to any printing company and have them print your design in that size.

1. Kraft paper mache letters

2. Faux flowers

3. Floral styrofoam

4. Low heat glue gun

5. box cutter/x-acto knife

Directions

1. Hallow out the letters with the box cutter. 

2. Stuff the hallowed letters with the floral foam. 

3. Arrange flowers, glue them in the letters and have fun!! 

Inspired by one of my favorite blogs/stores, Urbanic Paper Boutique. If only I lived in California, I would purchase everything in that store. Urban Paper Boutique made floral letters for mother's day and I thought it would be great to create signage for a dessert table. 

If you're going for a rustic theme event, why not use raw materials like burlap, paint and natural twine? Easy on the wallet and easy on the eyes. 

The items you will need >>> triangle cut out, faux burlap ribbon, scissors, acrylic paint (your choice of color), sewing needle, letter stencils and jute twine. 

Make a triangle stencil and use it to make the burlap cutout. 

After cutting the right amount of triangles, place the letter stencil on top of the triangle and paint the letter on using a dabbing motion. 

Place the twine through a wide eye needle and stitch it through each triangle like the picture below. 

LETTERPRESS! My sister and I have been waiting for 6 months to use this letterpress! We had to create our own designs, order the printing plates, and shop for the right paper, in order to follow through with the printing. It's a lot of hard work, especially since we had to learn adobe illustrator and design, but it was fun nonetheless. It makes all those nights of sweating, and designing until my eyes hurt, worth it. More to come when we print our other cards. 

This printing technique is different then what I've done so far--its quite the opposite of what I've been doing, embossing. Instead of the print popping out of the paper, the letters are being pressed into the paper. You can't help but touch it. 

Happy Halloween Everyone! This Is Of Course A Few Days Late But I Have A List Of Excuses. So Let's Get Started! 

This Party Decor Can Be Used As A Backdrop To White Walls At Your Halloween Party.

To Create This, You Will Need The Following Materials >>Paper, Light Cardboard, Scissors, Gold Metallic Paint Pen, Scissors, Sharpie, White Acrylic Paint, Any Bottle, And Glue Dots. 

Draw A Bat And Trace It On Your Light Cardboard. 

Cut The Bats Out. You Can Paint/Color The Bats Any Way You Like. I Wanted A Chic Look, So I Choose White, Gold And Black. 

Once The Color Is All Set, Wrap The Bat (Non-Colored Side Out) To The Bottle. 

Stick The Glue Dots On The Bats And Space Them Out With An 1/2 Inch Between Each One. 

HOW TO HEAT EMBOSS IN 5 STEPS

1. Buy the following >> cool stamps ($5-$15), embossing powder ($5--seems expensive, but supply lasts long), ink pad ($3-$5), paper ($3-5), heat embosser ($17-$25). 

2. Ink your stamp and press it onto your clean piece of paper. 

3. Quickly before your ink dries out (Versamark is the recommended brand because it stays sticky for a good while), pour the embossing powder over the stamped image. Make sure you have another sheet of paper underneath your card so you can catch whatever power that isn't used. 

4. Tap off the excess powder on to the extra sheet and clean around the image so there isn't any powder around it. 

5. Use your heat tool and start at one section of the image. Keep an eye on it, as soon as you see the powder melt and transform, you wave your heat tool around the image in circular motion. 

6. Tada. You're done. Honestly, the first few are going to look like crap, but practice makes perfect. BELIEVE IN THAT TERM!

Lately, I've been obsessed with fine lines and intricate details. I could just stare at a print for hours--this would explain my binge purchase of intricate stamps. With these fine lines, it is very difficult to differentiate lines when embossing. the embossing powder would melt and expand. Luckily, it isn't something a fine powder and a good ink pad couldn't fix. Versafine fine ink pad captures all the details of your stamp so that it translates well on to paper.

Envelope lining is one of the easiest ways to transform an ordinary letter to an extraordinary one. There are only three essential things you need for this project, envelope liner templates (you can purchase them from Paper Source, or any craft stores), double sided tape, and beautiful paper. The outcome of the envelopes is based solely on your taste and choice of paper. 

You trace the template on the piece of paper, and you cut it out. Then, you run the top of the cut-out paper with double sided tape and slide it in the envelope. This is a great way to surprise your penpal and plus, they will probably think you're more thoughtful than you actually are!

My cubicle can be described in three words--bland, mundane, and lifeless. I decided to do something about it and started brainstorming for ideas to decorate the space. Since my friends are a big part of my life, I decided to put some of my favorite memories of 2014 into mini polaroids. After cutting the polaroids out, I pasted them on a thick poster board and hung them on a piece of twine with mini clothes pins. 

Materials

1. 1/2 inch wide wooden blocks

2. Acrylic paint, your choice of colors

3. Photos, I had a Polaroid camera in hand, so I used it to show you this quick project

4. Copper wire-I chose a pretty color, gold

5. mini clothes pins 

6. low heat glue gun/strong glue

Directions

1. Paint the blocks and clothes pins the color of your choice. 

2. While waiting for the paint to dry, print out a couple of pictures. Since I was by myself at the time, I decided to take a bunch of selfies and play 3 different personas--Harry, Lily and Joe. 

3. The paint is now dried and I hot glue gunned one end of the copper wire to the block, and the other end to the clothes pin. 

4. Wait for glue to try and put up your photos. 

HOW TO CREATE FUN TREAT BAGS: 

What you will need >> halloween stamps, paper bags (via Papersource), lots of candy. 

1. Stamp the paper bags with your favorite halloween stamp, leave it as is or make it extra special and heat emboss, learn by clicking here. It's fun and worth the extra 2 minutes. 

2. Stuff the bags with candy! Since I was making it for my coworkers, I bought dark chocolates. 

3. I folded the bags, so that there was a flap available to write a suitable quote. 

"EAT, DRINK AND BE SCARY."
